On getting old…

A time to harvest the crops sown earlier in life.
The afternoon and evening of life is just as full of meaning as the morning; only, its meaning and purpose are different.
Old age is a slippery slope, but if you enjoyed sledding, it can be a helluva fun ride.
Aging is a skid, and as in driving, you turn in the direction of the slide to avoid crashing…don’t wrench the wheel toward being a youngster again.

As our world shrinks, so too do our desires as well as our perspective and expectations of what constitutes a meaningful and worthwhile existence.
As a teenager I used to sneak out of the house to go to parties, now I sneak out of parties to go to to the house.

Fortunately, as one loses the ability to experience certain pleasures, one loses the desire to experience them.
As you get older you become more authentic. You have less energy for bullshit, but plenty of energy for things that you are still interested in.
